BMA of Tarrant County Report

The messenger to the annual meeting of the Baptist Missionary Association of Tarrant County met at the New Beginnings Baptist Church in Mansfield, Texas on September 20, 2007. Jerry Phillips brought the annual message. The messengers elected the following officers for the coming year:

• Timothy Fish – Assistant Clerk/Treasurer

The messengers also elected Dr. Tommy Farmer to preach the 2008 annual message with Bob Dowker as the alternate.

As a mission project, the association will be supporting Tim Brown with $300 per month toward his work fund. Tim Brown and his wife are working with The Exchange Community Church in Keller.

The messengers also decided to send $750 to each institution, rather than holding college and seminary rallies this year. The association did the same thing last year.

The Women’s Missionary Auxiliary reported that their project for this year is to raise $600 to go toward a medial mission ambulance in China.

In the obituary report, twenty-one members of the various churches were named as those who have gone on to be with the Lord. Several of these were from our own church.

As in previous years, the messengers voted to print fifty minute books and pay the clerk $350.

The next annual meeting will be held at South Park Baptist Church in Fort Worth on September 25, 2008.
