Question:
My church is affiliated with the American Baptist Association.. what is the difference between the BMA and the ABA, if any? I didn't really see in difference in teaching.. and there are many Missionary Baptist churches in the ABA. it would be good to hear back from y'all
Answer:
The ABA and the BMA are very similar. Doctrinally, there is no difference that is worth noting. The churches of the BMA left the ABA over procedural issues rather than doctrinal issues. The departments of the two associations are structured somewhat differently, but there is significant overlap in what these departments provide the member churches.
